MHP Legacy — Hayder Pervaiz | California Adventure, Caves & Geology
MHP Legacy created by Hayder Pervaiz, is a California-based adventure and travel platform focused on inspiring people to get outdoors and discover extraordinary destinations. Pervaiz describes himself as an engineer and “weekend warrior,” and his adventures span hiking, national parks, road trips and some of California’s fascinating underground landscapes.
Exploring California Beneath the Surface
For the CA Gold Diggers caving community, MHP Legacy is particularly interesting because of its coverage of California's subterranean world.
The Sierra Nevada may be famous for granite peaks and giant sequoias, but underneath parts of the mountains are extensive marble cave systems. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks contain at least 275 known caves, most occurring within narrow bands of marble in the western portion of the parks.
These underground environments can contain streams, beautifully banded marble, stalagmites, curtains, helictites, rimstone pools and unusually colorful mineral deposits.
The Marble Caves of Sequoia & Kings Canyon
One of the most remarkable underground features of the region is Lilburn Cave, the longest known cave in California.
The National Park Service reports that Lilburn contains nearly 17 miles of surveyed passages and forms an intricate three-dimensional maze through blue- and white-banded marble. More than 30 minerals have been identified within the cave, producing unusual blue, green, yellow and black coloration.
That combination of geology and adventure makes this region an ideal subject for MHP Legacy's style of visual storytelling.
Adventure Meets Geology
MHP Legacy's content is a great fit for people interested in:
California caves and caverns
Marble and limestone geology
Sierra Nevada adventures
National parks
Underground landscapes
Hiking and road trips
Hidden California destinations
Outdoor photography and videography
Adventure travel
What makes this type of content especially useful is the connection between the spectacular scenery and the geological processes that created it.
From Social Media to Real Adventures
MHP Legacy has developed a significant adventure audience. A current influencer database identifies Hayder Pervaiz (@mhplegacy) as a California-based adventure creator with approximately 160,000 followers, describing his mission as inspiring people to “adventure & travel more.”
For followers, videos of underground California can become inspiration for their own adventures—but access matters. Many wild caves in Sequoia and Kings Canyon are protected or managed for research and are not open for casual exploration.
For the general public, Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park provides an authorized way to experience this geology. It is a marble cavern accessible only by guided tour because of its fragile formations.
Another option is Boyden Cavern, a marble cavern in Sequoia National Forest near Kings Canyon that offers guided tours.
Why Follow MHP Legacy?
MHP Legacy expands California exploration beyond prospecting and rockhounding.
Its underground-focused adventures connect naturally with caving, geology, minerals, Gold Country exploration and the California Adventure Passport. They also demonstrate just how much of California remains hidden from anyone who only explores what's visible above ground.
For prospectors, rockhounds and cave enthusiasts, that's an appealing message: California's treasures aren't all sitting in a gold pan—some are hidden inside the mountains themselves.
